As our name indicates, we are an English teacher association founded in Granada in 1984. In the last decade GRETA has spread throughout Andalusia and elsewhere. The fundamental task of our association is to promote contact between teachers, the exchange of ideas and experiences to facilitate training and knowledge of current methodologies and to carry out whatever actions considered necessary as regards representation of teachers of English. The paramount event of the year is the celebration of the annual GRETA Conference for English teachers which is normally held in september in Granada, Spain. At our offices we have a self-access centre where there is a library and audiovisual material which is available on loan to our members. We are also able to provide information on topics related to our profession such us grants, exchange programmes, courses, etc. Click Here to see the members of the Executive Commitee Our members are English teachers from educational levels across the board: Primary, Secondary and University. Also affiliated are unemployed graduates and last year students of English Philology and Teacher Training (specialising in English Philology), together with Translators and Interpreters who are aspiring to become English teachers. Our members work in all kinds of different situations involving both State and Private Education, University, Primary and Secondary Schools and also language schools. All have one common goal which is to develop their pedagogical capabilities and to better their professional know-how. Read about the Benefits of belonging to GRETA
